My SAQA Benefit Auction Quilt

SAQA 2011 benefit auction quiltMy art quilt “Pardeiza Lost” will be available for purchase on September 19, 2pm EDT! This is my contribution to the Studio Art Quilt Associates annual fundraiser.

“Paradeiza Lost”, 11″ x 11″, part the Paradeiza series, is based on the Persian word paradeiza, meaning paradise, a metaphor for a garden. The blue dimensional flower pictured is a morning glory, considered a noxious weed by gardeners; however, I have been unsuccessful in growing this particular cultivar, “Heavenly Blue”…what that has to say about my gardening abilities, let’s leave for another day.

NW Vibes moving to Quilt County 2011!

From September 6, 2011 to October 13, NW Vibes will be at the First Congregational Church of Corvallis, 4515 SW West Hills Road. The show can be seen M-F 9am-noon, Wednesday 7-9pm.

For more information on what there is to see, visit http://www.quiltcounty.org/ NW Vibes is listed at venue #20, along with the wonderful SAQA show, Oregon: State of Diversitiy. My Columbia Gorge quilt is there!

The good news is that I sold “Forest to Sea”, my NW Vibes piece and the detail pictured on the postcard, so the bad news is that it is not in the show…but I will be creating a new piece to replace it!
